"What a day to pick to hunt..."
The red canine grumbled quietly to himself, his ears back and his head down as the wind blew violently against his face. More than once, he had to shake a leaf or twig from his snout, the wind plastering them to his face as his master dragged him through the trees...
Don't mistake it, the jindo loved his human... to a degree. The man fed him regularly and the food tasted pretty good. The bowl wasn't kept very clean but he could live with that. He got to run on the treadmill for hours on end and had to pull weights around the house but he didn't really mind all that much. The pain went away after a short time. The human snored so his dog barely got any sleep, even though he was chained up outside with no dog house. He would just flip his water dish over his head to block out the sound...
Nope, all that he could deal with but hunting right before a storm? The man was crazy...
Unfortunately for the little jindo, they were not hunting. As they moved deeper and deeper into the Lesser forest, the man looked over his shoulder at the dog following him obediently, yelling at him in order to be heard over the screaming winds and the booming thunder...
"Don't worry Numa. I'll toughen you up and you'll be the best bear dog in the town!"
The jindo looked confused... His human still thought he'd make a decent bear dog?! He was crazier than originally imagined. But the human continued to drag the dog deeper into the woods, straining against the harsh winds and defying all logic and common sense. But the dog was convinced he was just drunk or high again and was about to sober up... Any minute now, he'd realize how foolish this was and would take them home again. Only when the man tied the dog's leather leash around a nearby tree did the severity of the situation sink in...
He was seriously going to leave him out here...
"Sweet dreams pooch. I'll come get you in the morning."
Kneeling down, he gave the socked dog a pat, ignoring the fact that the animal was shaking with terror, his jaw practically to the dirt and his cobalt eyes wide. Without a second glance back, the blond man departed hastily, carelessly opening an umbrella as the skies let loose a small torrent of rain. The jindo stared after him, not bothering to back in complaint or strain against the leash. He knew both tactics were pointless and never helped. So instead, he stared after the two-legger until his tall for disappeared between the trees...
He'd seriously left him out here, alone and in the middle of a storm...
