The town was relatively quiet this Friday morning, most humans doing whatever needed to be done indoors or sleeping in. Why humans needed so much sleep, the jindo could only speculate from his spot in the passenger seat of his master's pick-up truck. Another useless contraption by his standards. They had legs didn't they? Why not use them? Then again, his master was pretty slow... not just walking either...
Furrowing his rusted brow, his cobalt gaze glanced over at the tall blonde man, who was singing along to some stupid human song blarring from the truck's voice box. Though some of the noises out of that thing were pleasent, this one was loud and thumping in the bear dog's ears painfully... and his humans cracky voice didn't help...
For once, he was happy when they finally reached their destination toward the middle of town. His master called it the "Happy house" for some reason, but others called it the Bar or Tavern. Well, whatever it was, dogs weren't allowed inside, so the jindo didn't argue when his human tied him to the front grill of the truck with some twine and left him there with a good boy and a pat on the head...
The red dog turned away quickly as the door was opened, trying to sheild his sensative nose from the stench within. It smelled like death, blood, smoke and something pungent and it honestly made his blue eyes water, even if it only was just a wiff. His master came here regularly for some reason, the smell almost intoxicating to him. Often times, he bought the stuff from the store, this "beer" that looked like piss and smelled much worse, and the source of the pungent smell from the Tavern...
With hunting season closing in, other hunters ran about buying the best rifles they could, training their dogs to be their best and stocking up on supplies. His master... was drinking himself stupid. The jindo sighed, his gaze shifting to the sky in exasperation...
Humans are confusing...

What a stench!
Blind wandering had led a young setter to travel along Main Street, her hear and tail hung low as she trudged along the icy road. Surrounded by odd establishments, smells of all sorts were wafting over to greet her, some pleasant, some confusing, and some indicating that food was nearby. But every now and then, the dog would come across a scent that was simply revolting. This was one of those scents.
Looking up in disgust, Billie turned to find the source of the disturbing odor. Not suprisingly, it had the look of what she had learned the humans called a "bar." She'd never been in one, but had been tied up outside while her master entered such a den, only to come back out smelling like female humans and liquor. And just as she was often tied up on the outside, Billie now laid eyes on another in wait.
He was a jindo. The young dog had seen a few back home, commonly used as bear dogs. A strong breed indeed. And even now, the setter approached this one with caution, her tail held high in an attempt to show her benevolent nature. Still, curious and social as she was, Billie allowed herself to speak, an honest attempt at begining a conversation.
"Nasty places these are...it's hard to understand why one would want to walk into such a den."

Xiy came scampering down the dusty road, careful to stay to the side, having a fantastic run after a fabulous cooked meal; running was in his nature, and he took great joy in a jog. His keen nose, however, swiftly caught the scent of nearby canines. This meant potential friends and allies to the greyhound mix, or at least a sparring partner. His thin tail swung behind him, and his tongue convulsed violently from his jowels as drool dripped from it in buckets; he'd been running for nearly an hour without stopping, and he needed to take a breather. He thought about putting on his puppy-dog eyes and getting a human at the bar to offer him some water, but the stench of the establishment was too much for his sensitive nose.
Xiy also was no fan of the human 'bars', although his 'master' tended to frequent them, as it seemed most hunters did. The brief taste of the fowl liquid he'd sampled years earlier had taught him to steer clear of any alcoholic beverage. He plodded energetically but lightly toward the Jindo, aware that a Setter was near as well. He wagged his sinuous tri-colored tail and let fly a sharp bark in the bear-dogs direction.
" Your human has you all tied up, huh? Did he go into that odorous dwelling ahead of us?"
Xiy was feeling a bit more chipper than usual, having just come back from a rather successful hunt with his master. He was awarded plenty of meat for his supper, and his stomach was very happy. This, in turn, made for a happy dog.
He carefully approached the Setter and gave her a brief smile, but refrained from looking either dog in the eye. He turned back toward the tied Jindo- "I'm sure you could get out of that if you tried, but, would you like some help?"

Lost in mindless brooding based upon the foul smelling bar and the dreadful approach of the hunting season, it took the jindo a few minutes to notice there were others about. Yet, despite his usually spastic nature, he was neither shocked nor surprised by their presence. So, his cobalt gaze was drawn very casually from the clouds to land first on the setter, whose scent he'd noticed a few moments before she could be seen. Aiming a half-hearted smile in her direction, he did his best not to seem nervous, but... well... he was. He wasn't a "go out and make friends" happy kind of dog and the prospect of talking to another was enough to make his gaze seek something to stare at...
Glancing off to the side, the shy little jindo actually said nothing, simply nodding as enthusiastically he could muster in response to the fae's question. But his glance off to the side only brought him face to face with another male, which didn't help his current social jitters. Not only were there other bigger dogs around, but one was a male. Not just any male either, this one looked... well, not tough but tougher than him... which doesn't take much. As the stranger continued his approach, the jindo shyed away instinctively, not much but enough, going from a comfortable sit to a half crouch of sorts...
Still unsure of what either of these canines wanted, the jindo was quiet for a few moments, even after both dogs had stopped talking, simply staring up at both of them and waiting for one to say something offensive about his size or age. But the silence this caused began to unnerve him further, so the jindo decided to give a little input anyway...
"Um... Y-yeah... He's in there."
((omg it sucks.. I'm so distracted...))

Humans were so ignorant.Friday mornings were always pretty docile in this part of town, and not many of them had ventured into the streets yet. All the better for Vega, who, even though she was a good hunting dog, had a slightly mixed opinion of humans and their odd behaviors. The young shepherd had woken much earlier than the human residents of this town. Emerald eyes flickering open lazily and maw parting into a wide yawn, she rose from the dusty surface of the alleyway she called a temporary home. Her powerful frame slowly started to walk down the main street of the sleepy little village, a nice morning rendezvous. Vega had only just arrived in this small town and she was just beginning to orient herself in this strange new environment. This land was not unlike her homeland, Japan, but the people and dogs here were much different than those back home. The tall female's wandering ended when the winds brought a series of different scents to her nostrils. The first, male, and on further investigation, most likely a jindo. Finally, a breed that she recognized, remembering them as fine bear dogs back in Japan. The second scent that arrived but a few seconds in succession of the first, female. Unlike the first scent however, Vega was not all that familiar with the breed type that the scent belonged to. And the final scent that arrived was another male, of mixed breeding. All three scents had come from the same location, perhaps a gathering of sorts? Vega did not know why exactly the three dogs had gathered, but she was willing to investigate. Her slow, trudging walk turned into an eager trot as she followed the mingling scents of the trio. After some minutes had passed, she finally found the sources of each of the scents. The three dogs she saw gathered at the front of a human establishment that she was familiar with, a bar. In short, humans went in perfectly natural, for humans anyway; later came out, staggering, slurring, and sputtering dumbly. She had never been inside one of these 'bars', but she had some idea of what went on inside. Slowing her pace again, Vega approached the three dogs. Tail and head raised slightly, trying to convey her confidence, she continued toward them. Stopping a short distance away, she assessed all three of her canine counterparts one by one, emerald eyes scanning them carefully. The corner's of her mouth twitched into a small smirk, before speaking slowly, "Hello..." she greeted the odd trio, and leaning back on her haunches so that she sat near them. (Sorry this is so long, I kept zoning out when I wrote this ^.^
