General-
Name: Xiy [Zie]
Nickname(s): 'X'
Gender: Male
Age: 3 years old
Breed: Bull terrier X Greyhound
Appearance-
Height: 27 inches at the shoulder
Weight: About 75-80 lbs
Body Type: Medium; muscular, very little fat on body, but more body fat than a purebred Greyhound. Not huge or fragile.
Pelt color: Light reddish brown and off white.
Markings: He has dark brown markings above his brow and on his chest. He has dark brown front paws as well.
Tail: Thin, like a greyhound, and long. It's tipped in dark brown and off white.
Ears: Floppy, the base is erect.
Eyes: Dark brown, reddish-amber in the light.
Claws: White
Pawpads: Black.
Accessories: Sometimes wears a racing jacket donated by an ex-racer greyhound friend, because Xiy gets cold easily, just like a greyhound.
Personality-
Xiy is a reserved and mild mannered dog when around people and when not hunting or fighting. He's generally affectionate towards humans, especially children, but dislikes large men. He's very much a terrier when hunting or having fun; his prey drive is high, and he'll chase just about anything that he thinks is asking for it. He's calm most of the time, and a very loyal packmate and friend. Fiercely loyal and incredibly courageous, he'll take on the biggest adversary for his friends, and wont back down until he can't get back up.
Strengths: Not particularly weak in any area, agile, determined, courageous, loyal, strong jaws, high physical fitness.
Weaknesses: Not particularly strong in any area, headstrong, poor temperature endurance, slight agressiveness towards other male dogs.
History-
Xiy is a rare mix of two extremely specialized breeds churned into one much more subtle individual. His father was an overbearing but friendly Bull Terrier who escaped one night from his wealthy owner, only to stumble upon the localGreyhound breeder's house, and had his way with one of the ladies of the manor. That lady was an up-and-coming racer named Ikora, who unfortunately had to abandon her promising career to bear and raise her illegitimate pups. Although seven puppies in all were born, only four survived. Xiy was one of these puppies, and was allowed to stay with his mother until the age of six months; shortly after wich he was sold to a hunter, as he was not purebred and thus not a viable racer on the dogtracks. His brothers and sisters were sold off as well, although where they were shipped off to Xiy is unsure. The laid-back man Xiy was sold to is still his current master, but because Xiy is a steadfast and dependable dog, he is permitted to leave the house on his own on the condition that he comes back every saturday for the group hunt his master takes part in. The hunter is lowely and poor, but Xiy knows he's a good man and supports him despite his gambling and drinking problems. In return, the hunter offers a warm shack for the winter months that Xiy can take shelter in, because he certainly could not withstand the winter chill unaided.
